Goodchilds’ Haberdashery in c1940s. Oak Hill. Next to the present post office. Redeveloped as Wealdon Court Flats in 1970s.

Jubilee Stores, Oak Hill, in 2009. Built in 1937, first as a shoe repairer named “Snob”. Later it became a small grocery shop, operated as a newsagents in the 1980s. Now a private residence.

Transport Maintenance, Oak Hill in 1990. Developed into a garage in the 1960s.  The petrol pumps were removed in about 2000.  In 2023, this and the land behind it, occupied by various traders, is proposed to be developed as housing.

Pinks Hill Station Box. Built at the end of Pound Lane in 1915 and demolished in 1968 along with the adjacent cottage.  See the Village Book – ‘Getting Around’ for more details.
